On Tuesday, 26 August, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, started a two-day working visit over the most flood-stricken western regions of Ukraine.
In the course of the working visit, A.Yatseniuk will visit Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions.
On Tuesday morning, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited the regional boarding lyceum for the gifted children from rural areas in Ivano-Frankivsk, and attended an August theoretical and practical conference of the teaching staff.
Due to the schedule of the visit, on Tuesday A.Yatseniuk will look round the most flood-stricken areas in the villages Nyzhny Verbizh in Kolomyia district, and Horodnytsia in Horodenka district.
On the same day, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will see round the flood-stricken areas and a nursery school in the village Dobrivliany in Zalishchyky district of Ternopil region. He will also visit a children´s sanatorium in Zalishchyky.
On Tuesday evening, A.Yatseniuk will leave for Chernivtsi, and appear live at "Chernivtsi" television and radio broadcasting company.
On Wednesday, 27 August, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will visit the flood-stricken areas in Lenkivtsi district of Chernivtsi, and villages Tarasivtsi and Dranytsi of Novoselytsky region. In Dranytsi, A.Yatseniuk will take part in laying of the foundation stone in the four houses for the families that lost their dwelling because of the flood.
On Wednesday, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will visit the flood-stricken areas in Vinnytsia region. Thus, he will visit the objects and see the restoration works in Yampil and Yampil district. A.Yatseniuk will also meet the leaders of the local self-government bodies and executive authorities of the flood-stricken districts and settlements.
At the end of his working visit, A.Yatseniuk will give a final press conference.
